RAF Freedom of Huntingdon

As a former RAF Engineering Officer who served for 4 of my 16 years in the RAF at Brampton,  I was really proud today as I watched the march past of RAF Wyton and Brampton exercising their “Freedom” of Huntingdon.  “Bayonets fixed, colours flying and drums beating”

What was even more impressive was the exhibition in the Commemoration Hall and the new “Intelligence Hub” being built at RAF Wyton

Within Defence Intelligence (DI), the Intelligence Collection Group (ICG), the Joint Aeronautical and Geospatial Organisation (JAGO) and the Joint Air Reconnaissance & Intelligence Centre (JARIC) will be moving to this “state of the art” facility.

We are very lucky to have these military professionals based in Huntingdonshire – well done to the Town Council for recognising their service and granting them the freedom of Huntingdon.
